Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

This is the Sovereign Secure accessibility statement for our website, sovereignsecure.co.uk. Sovereign Secure Limited wants everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or other assistive technology, to be able to read and use this site. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) set out how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, at three levels of conformance: A, AA and AAA.

The standard we work to is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This website is partially conformant with it: the site was designed to meet Level AA, but some content, listed under known limitations below, does not yet fully meet it. We will only describe the site as fully conformant once it has been tested against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and we will record the date of that test in this statement.

How this website supports accessibility

This website was rebuilt in 2026 with accessibility designed in from the start. In particular:

  • Keyboard access: every menu, form, accordion and tool can be used with a keyboard, and a “Skip to content” link is the first item on every page.
  • Clear structure: each page has one main heading, headings follow a logical order, and landmarks (header, navigation, main content and footer) are marked up so screen readers can move between them.
  • Readable text and colour: body text and links are checked against WCAG contrast ratios, links inside paragraphs are underlined, and pages reflow on small screens and at up to 400% zoom without sideways scrolling.
  • Forms: every form field has a visible label, required fields are marked, and errors are highlighted when a form is submitted.
  • Images: informative images have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Motion: animations and smooth scrolling are turned off when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Interactive tools: the Cyber Essentials readiness check, PCI cost estimator and penetration testing quote tool work without a mouse, and results are announced as plain text.

Known limitations

  • Some older PDF documents, such as our company profile, may not be fully accessible. If you need information from a document in another format, email or call us and we will provide it.
  • Client and partner logos are shown as images. Their names are provided as text alternatives.
